Bootcamp Training

Happyfit Bootcamp training launched in September .  It is going great with lots of positive feedback from partcipants and the odd text on Sunday about being unable to walk down the stairs (!!). Don't worry, it soon wears off - and it shows you just how well you worked your whole body - even the muscles you didn't know you had!

So, if you are curious as to what is involved - I shall tell you!   Happyfit Bootcamp training is about exercising outside.  Exercising effectively, intensely and giving you a total body workout in a minimum amount of time. 45 minutes on a Saturday morning - 8.30am to 9.15am, Knockin Amenity ground, Knockin, off the A5 between shrewsbury and Oswestry.

Bootcamp training is about using the outdoors and minimal equipment (this session we just used a medecine ball) and pushing yourself to get fantastic results.  One participant lost 2lbs the week she started bootcamp! It will get you fit and strong and toned every single muscle - legs, arms, back, chest, core, etc.

There are endless variations of what can be done within a session and I will keep varying it to make it exciting and challenging. This Saturday this is what we did:

warm up and mobilise - shoulders, chest, spine, adductors, bottom, hips, knees, quadriceps and hamstrings, heart and lungs

Ready to go - 30 seconds of squat press, medecine ball rotations, woodchoppers, forward and backward jumps, press-ups,
catch breath, take a drink
jog around field playing follow my leader
catch breath, take a drink
2nd set - same as above
follow my leader again
3rd set - same as above

cool - down - slow jog and walking
stretch - back, chest, triceps, shoulders, hamstrings, quads and calf muscles

go home, shower, feel good for rest of weekend
ache a little sunday - bottom mainly - just think about those buns of steel and look forward to next week!

The class worked really hard and I really enjoyed the atmosphere - the weather was kind and we were all buzzing when we finished.

I'll keep you up-dated on next weeks sesssion.
