Week 2

Bank Holiday Monday - went shopping with the family (new shoes for all - quickest way to spend £90) and didn't manage to fit in any exercise.  Feeling very tired and consumed some chocolate brownies, followed by a Chinese Takeaway.  Very nice, start again tomorrow!

Tuesday - took children into Oswestry, played in the park and went to the bank.  Heavy persuasion from 8 year old to eat lunch in a cafe (her favourite treat!).  We compromised on a few bits and bobs from M&S and home for lunch.  Ate most of tasty treats myself (salami, french bread, doughnuts!). Hmm, complete lack of willpower.  Fell asleep in the afternoon.  Wedges, sausage and beans for tea - didn't eat the sausages.  Went to bed determined to get back on track tomorrow.  Holidays are not healthy for me!

Wednesday - bad night, sore throat and blocked up nose.  Woke up feeling achy and tired.  Aah, so obviously, been fighting something all week hence feeling so tired.  I know when I'm tired that my resistance to sugary stuff is low (doesn't stop me, but at least I know the reason I can't resist!).  Decided that the best thing I can do is give myself the rest of the week off training.  Sense of relief - can stop feeling guilty about not exercising - recovery (especially when not feeling 100%) is as important as exercise.

Foodwise - especially important to eat properly to help the immune system fight infection.  No more cake - back to the fruit and vegetables and, hopefully, back on track Monday.

Here's to feeling better soon!  Have to be back to full health for next week as my classes start again.  Pilates and circuit training back on for 7 weeks up to the summer.
